Frequently Asked Questions
I already have the paintball marker. Can I buy just the replica parts?
The replica parts that are available separately are listed in the section called "Parts to convert your marker". Unfortunately, other than those listed, I do not sell the other replica parts separately. That is because some parts have to be match drilled and tapped after they are installed on the marker. The tools required and the skills involved are beyond the capabilities of most customers.
If you already have the marker and want to send it to me I will convert it to the appropriate military replica for a reduced price.
Marker Conversion Cost
Any marker that is based on a Spyder. Save $100.00 if you provide a standard Spyder classic.
Any marker that is based on a Automag. Save $150.00 if you provide a Automag classic standard feed.
2. What are the parts made out of?
The replica parts are made out of ABS polymer and aluminum. For instance on the MP5, the receiver area is made out of plastic but the sliding stock is aluminum. The M-1 is all metal with a real wood stock. The M-14 has a fiberglass stock
3. Are the clips on the M16 and MP5 expansion chambers?
No, they are not expansion chambers. The bottom line on the M16 runs through the clip to the gun. On the MP5 however, there is a metal pipe that runs through the middle of the clip that the bottom line attaches to. The metal pipe provides additional volume before the gun and gives the gas more room to expand so it functions somewhat like an expansion chamber, but its still not a real expansion chamber.
If you want to use an expansion chamber with these guns, I recommend you use a remote line and attach an expansion chamber directly to the tank on your back (besides the gun looks cooler without a tank hanging off of it).
4. Is there a warranty on the gun?
The paintball markers themselves are brand new so they carry the full manufacturer's warranty, usually 1 year. You have to send the gun back to the manufacturer for repair however as I am not an authorized repair center. The replica parts added to the paintball gun do not have a warranty.
5. Are the guns full-auto?
No, the guns are based on the manufacturer's stock, standard paintball marker so they are semi-auto only. Some guns can be special ordered as full-auto by adding an electronic triggerframe.
6. Are the barrels still removable?
Yes, the barrels still unscrew for cleaning or to change to another barrel. Some aftermarket barrels will fit these guns and some won't. It depends on the length of the barrel and the outside diameter of the aftermarket barrel. You'll just have to experiment to find which ones will work.
If I may blow my own horn for a second, on the guns that come with my custom carbon fiber barrels, I think you will find that these are excellent barrels and that you will not need an aftermarket barrel. I use this exact same carbon fiber barrel on my Angel and Automag RT that I use in tournament play and believe me, if I thought there was a better barrel (and I've tried a lot of them), I would use it instead.
7. How hard is it to remove the replica parts?
The replica parts unbolt from around the paintball marker with just 4 or 5 Allen head screws (in most cases) and can be removed in about 5 minutes. Full disassembly instructions are included with all the guns.
