Update March 1998

The last few months have been busy ones for me.  I have just completed testing for NASA's Ames Research Center on a new type of aerial deployed fertilizer "bomb".  This device will revolutionize the business of crop dusting.  Insted of the time-consuming lengthwise spraying of farmers' fields, a single fertilizer "bomb" dropped in the center of a field of up to 80 acres will complete the entire task in only a minute.  The following picture shows the "bomb" in place on the upper leading edge of my wing.

Because of the slow drop speed necessary to properly disperse the fertilizer, only an ultralight aircraft can deliver the device.  During the tests, I had to position myself directly over the center of the field and dive at a 60-degree angle to ensure proper separation from the upper surface of my wing.  NASA called on me to conduct the test flights because of my well-known reputation as one of the leading pilots in ultralight aviation.
